The Goring Gambit (ECO C44), is a variant of the Scottish Open, which seeks to achieve rapid development and great control of parts in the center at the cost of a pawn. The problem is that is a minority in the queenside pawns.
Main Line:

- 2. Nf3 Nc6
- 3. D4 exd4
- 4. C3 Qxc3
- 5. Nxc3 Bb4
- 6. Bc4 Nf6
Here we must beware the trap of matt boy:
